Supply Chain & Operations

Discussion

Background:
Most of the projects they have currently are driven by their Hub & Spoke Model with their Distribution Centers and Delivery Branches.
o Transportation projects (Receiving of goods, storing/stacking, picking goods and dispatching)
o Warehousing projects (Orders are fulfilled in a timely fashion.
Whitecap acquired another mid-sized company (Colony Harbor) and they need to complete the integration process for this organization.
Lot of IT driven projects from the above work.
Project complexity will vary based off an Internal Transportation/Warehouse project or if they are working on the Integration projects. Integration Projects with Colony Harbor are more complex because there is a lack of clarity upfront.
1 PM will support more of the internal projects and the other PM will support the integration work. PM for the integration work needs to be more disciplined to drive the structure and move the project through the ambiguity.

Candidate Profile:
Looking for PMs with strong leadership qualities. Be able to drive stakeholders to make decisions and hold individuals accountable.
Experience bringing structure to projects and aligning stakeholders.
Someone who is process oriented and can think/connect the dots on the projects between risk and delivery efforts.
Domain/Environment Size: Prefers the Supply Chain/Warehousing/Construction domain environment experience, but not a hard requirement. Open to other work environments if they are an experienced PM. Any logistics background would also stand out.
Certifications: PMP not required. Manager is more focused on what types of projects the candidate has managed and what their role was in managing the project.
Education: N/A
Years of Experience: 5+ years of PM experience is ideal
Tactical Aspects of this Job: From a toolset standpoint they use Smartsheet at Whitecap for their PMO Tool, but they use some JIRA & ADO depending upon the project. Any PM who has strong experience across multiple tools should work here.
