A Little About Us

Oats Overnight is on a mission to build a generational CPG brand. Since 2016, our high-protein, drinkable oatmeal has reached over a million customers through direct-to-consumer, and we’re now scaling with all major nationwide retail and club partners. Our goal: become a household brand by leveraging speed, storytelling, and strategy.

We are vertically integrated: we develop, manufacture, and fulfill everything in-house. This operational control allows us to engage customers directly into the R&D process, an initiative where we were first-to-market in CPG. It also makes our brand tangible and real: our factory, our team, and our product pipeline are all part of the narrative.

This is an exciting stage - we are emerging as a significant omni-channel brand and launching new products to capture significant market share across verticals. We want you to help us get there.

Every teammate here has equity because we’re building something big, and everyone plays an important role. If you’re excited about building a brand that does things differently, this is that opportunity.

What’s The Job?

The Supply Planner makes sure we have the right product and the right materials at the right time. This is not a scheduling-only role. You’ll be a generalist who plans both finished goods production at our in-house manufacturing facility and the raw materials and packaging that go into every batch.

You’ll turn the demand forecast into production schedules and purchase plans, watch inventory and capacity, and work with Manufacturing, Procurement, Demand Planning, and Quality to keep the line running and customer orders covered. You’ll also support special projects such as new product innovation, rebranding, and item transitions, where timing and inventory decisions matter most.

This is an entry-level role built for someone early in their supply chain career, including recent graduates. We’re a vertically integrated company, so you’ll see the full path from raw material to customer shipment, with training and a strong manager to guide you.

What You’ll Be Doing, Stop Scanning and Read This Part

Production Planning

  • Build and maintain finished goods production schedules for our internal manufacturing footprint based on the demand forecast, inventory targets, and line capacity
  • Balance changeovers, run sizes, shelf life, and service levels to keep the right inventory in the right place
  • Work daily with Manufacturing to adjust the schedule for downtime, material shortages, and urgent customer needs
  • Track production attainment and inventory coverage, and flag shortfalls or excess early

Materials Planning

  • Plan raw materials and packaging requirements using MRP, bills of material, and production schedules
  • Work with Procurement and suppliers to place and expedite orders, confirm delivery dates, and resolve shortages before they hit the line
  • Monitor inventory levels, lead times, minimums, and safety stock, and recommend adjustments
  • Manage obsolescence and expiry risk, especially on packaging and ingredients tied to discontinued or changing items

Special Projects: Innovation, Rebranding + Item Transitions

  • Support new product launches with initial production plans, material sourcing, and launch inventory builds
  • Plan the supply side of rebranding and packaging changes, including run-out of old inventory and the timing of new materials
  • Manage item transitions and discontinuations to minimize write-offs and avoid gaps on shelf
  • Coordinate across Marketing, R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, and Procurement to hit project timelines and keep the supply plan current

Analysis + Continuous Improvement

  • Build and maintain reports on inventory health, production performance, supplier delivery, and order fill
  • Participate in the monthly Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process and bring supply constraints and risks to the conversation
  • Maintain accurate item, BOM, lead time, and planning parameters in our ERP and planning systems
  • Use data and AI tools to automate manual work and contribute to the ongoing buildout of the supply planning function
  • Other duties as assigned

What You’ve Done and Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations, industrial engineering, business, or a related field, or 0 to 2 years of relevant experience; recent graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas); coursework, an internship, or project experience in planning, manufacturing, or inventory management is a plus
  • Basic understanding of MRP, bills of material, lead times, and inventory concepts; ERP exposure is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and comfort making recommendations with incomplete information
  • Strong organizational skills and a bias toward follow-through. Things don’t fall through the cracks on your watch.
  • Someone that can partner and influence at all different levels. You can talk to a line supervisor and a supplier on the same day and land both.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and navigate in a fast moving environment where the process is still being built
  • AI fluency: an open mindset toward AI tools and a willingness to experiment and learn
  • A relentless drive to get things done.
  • Flexible, willing, and quick to learn new processes, new technology, and new ways of thinking.
