Supply Chain Program Manager
About the Role
The Supply Chain Program Manager is responsible for developing and executing supply chain strategies that support complex, fast-paced programs from product development through production. In this role, you will serve as the primary supply chain partner for assigned programs, coordinating across Procurement, Planning, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, and Program Management.
You will translate program requirements into actionable sourcing, material, and supplier plans; identify risks before they affect delivery; and ensure the organization has the materials and supplier capacity needed to meet cost, quality, and schedule commitments.
What You’ll Do
Lead supply chain planning and execution for assigned programs throughout the product lifecycle.
Develop integrated material, sourcing, and supplier readiness plans aligned with program schedules and production requirements.
Serve as the primary point of contact between Supply Chain and Program Management.
Monitor material availability, purchase-order status, supplier performance, lead times, and production constraints.
Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation or recovery plans to protect program milestones.
Partner with Engineering and Manufacturing to support new product introduction, design changes, prototype builds, and production ramp-up.
Coordinate with Procurement to establish sourcing strategies, negotiate priorities, and ensure suppliers meet contractual requirements.
Lead supplier readiness reviews and evaluate supplier capacity, quality, schedule, and technical performance.
Manage long-lead materials and critical components to reduce schedule and production risk.
Analyze demand, inventory, shortages, and supplier data to support program decisions and executive reporting.
Support cost-management activities, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost-reduction initiatives.
Facilitate cross-functional supply chain reviews and communicate status, risks, decisions, and required actions to program stakeholders.
Improve supply chain processes, reporting, and operating rhythms to support scalability and continuous improvement.
Ensure supply chain activities comply with applicable contractual, quality, export-control, and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
5 or more years of experience in supply chain, procurement, material planning, manufacturing operations, or program management.
Experience managing supply chain activities for complex products or programs.
Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, resolve material constraints, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
Experience working with suppliers and cross-functional teams across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, and Program Management.
Strong analytical skills and experience using data to identify risks, evaluate options, and support decisions.
Working knowledge of ERP or material requirements planning systems.
Strong written, verbal, and executive-level communication skills.
Ability to travel periodically to supplier or company locations as business needs require.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in aerospace, defense, robotics, automotive, electronics, or another highly regulated manufacturing environment.
Experience supporting new product introduction and the transition from prototype development to production.
Knowledge of bills of material, engineering change processes, demand planning, inventory management, and production scheduling.
Experience managing long-lead, high-risk, or technically complex components.
Familiarity with supplier capacity planning, cost analysis, and contract requirements.
Experience working with government contracts, export-controlled information, or Federal Acquisition Regulation requirements.
APICS, ASCM, PMP, or related professional certification.
Advanced proficiency with ERP, analytics, and reporting tools.
What Success Looks Like
Within your first year, you will have established strong partnerships across the program and supply chain teams, developed a clear understanding of material and supplier risks, and implemented reliable operating rhythms for tracking supply chain performance. Your work will help programs achieve key milestones by improving material readiness, supplier accountability, cost visibility, and risk management.
Additional Requirements
This position may require access to information subject to U.S. export-control regulations. Employment eligibility requirements will depend on the nature of the work and applicable regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate may also be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance, depending on program needs.
