Supply Technician

About the Position: This position is located at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.

Initiate orders and finds alternate sources of supply for items in out-of-stock situations, emergency one-time orders, multi-source, and special requests.

Maintain accurate accounting and reporting systems and, in conjunction with section Supervisors, reviews inventory reorder points for each section for appropriateness and overall support of laboratory goals.

Follow up on due in orders daily, taking immediate action to find alternate methods of obtaining necessary supplies and requests system upload via Logistics of any additional supplies needed

Use office automation software to develop internal spreadsheets and databases to maintain contract procurement and budget expenditure documentation.

Maintain a transaction register to ensure that purchases remain within the authorized ceiling, monitors contracts for usage and available funding, and coordinates with customers to provide modification and de-obligation of funds as needed.
