Supply Technician

About the Position: This position is located at Portsmouth Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth Virginia in the Radiology Department. Incumbent will serve as a Supply Technician and perform a variety of Supply Technician duties within a Military Treatment Facility (MTF). This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Maintain complete inventory management of all items necessary to supply the radiolody department.

Maintain current purchasing information and catalogs.

Issue supplies and equipment to radiology staff while maintaining accurate inventory records.

Monitor stock levels and identify shortages to prevent disruptions in patient care.

Use automated supply and inventory management systems to process requisitions.

Coordinate with vendors, medical logistics department and clinical staff to resolve supply issues.
