Support and Systems Administrator
Full time (76 hours per fortnight)
We are seeking an experienced Support and Systems Administrator to support the organisation with IT BAU and project activities. The role will provide technical support to staff onsite, resolving incidents and service requests via the ticketing platform. The role will also step into project activities where required to provide technical expertise and support.
The role will also liaise with third parties to provide resolution to requests. This role requires clear communication and time management skills. The position is hands-on and located on-site, reporting to the IT Manager.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
End user support: Support end users with day-to-day tasks, incidents and service requests to ensure a positive customer experience.
Leading Incident Response: Manage responses to critical incidents within the Windows server environment, ensuring quick resolution, identifying root causes, and applying preventive measures to avoid future occurrences.
Microsoft Cloud and Modern Workplace: Administer and troubleshoot M365 services such as Entra, Exchange, Intune and OneDrive. Assist with endpoint compliance and reporting, performing configuration changes and M365 Tenant management.
Management and Monitoring: Continuously manage and monitor the performance and health of Windows servers, identifying potential issues, troubleshooting, and resolving them to minimize downtime.
Ensuring Security and Compliance: Ensure all systems are compliant with internal security policies and external regulations. Manage patching, vulnerability remediation, and system hardening.
Streamlining Operations with Automation: Develop and implement automation solutions to streamline business operations and reduce manual processes.
Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain and improve IT documentation for the IT infrastructure to improve efficiency.
Project & Technical Support: Provide specialist support and, step into project coordination activities where required to enable business outcomes.
Selection Criteria
Essential:
Bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science, or significant work experience.
Strong experience in a systems administration capacity covering server, networks and backup infrastructure.
Proven experience with Microsoft 365, Entra, Azure management, MS Defender and Intune.
Strong customer service management experience preferably via customer facing and on-site presence.
Proven technical troubleshooting skills to provide support by resolving desktop, printer, networking, and server / infrastructure issues.
Strong experience with Windows technologies, Active Directory, Entra and other Microsoft 365/Azure services.
Proven experience with network security technologies, specifically Fortinet products.
Experience with network protocols and network configuration, including but not limited to TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
Proven experience with backup technologies and backup related activities.
Desirable:
Previous experience in a health related environment.
Previous experience with Operational Technology environments.
Cyber security experience.
