Support Engineer
Salary: $65,000 – $85,000 per year + Training & Benefits
An established technology solutions provider is seeking an experienced Desktop Support Engineer for a balanced hybrid role combining hands-on onsite customer visits and remote technical support.
This position focuses on troubleshooting, system administration, client hardware/software deployments, and vendor coordination while delivering high-standard SLA response times.
Key Technical Requirements & Experience
Experience: Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a System Administration or Helpdesk/Desktop Support role.
Deployments: At least 2 years of experience leading desktop project rollouts using Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT).
Operating Systems & Suites: Deep expertise with Microsoft Desktop OS, Office 365, and perpetual product suites.
Identity & Cloud Management: Strong working knowledge or exposure to Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, and Entra ID (Azure AD).
Infrastructure & Hardware: Hands-on experience with installation, configuration, upgrading, and troubleshooting of workstations, servers, and network-related hardware.
Ticketing Systems: Experience managing SLA-driven ticket workflows, preferably with Service Desk Plus or equivalent ITSM tools.
Core Responsibilities
Diagnose, prioritise, and resolve incidents remotely and during scheduled client site visits.
Perform workstation and server hardware setup, operating system deployment, and software maintenance.
Execute infrastructure rollouts and act as a reliable technical escalation point for broader support teams.
Build strong face-to-face client relationships, manage customer expectations, and provide detailed task updates to account managers.
Collaborate with internal teams to drive continuous improvement for client systems and workflows.
Participate in occasional after-hours support or maintenance projects when required.
