Support Services Specialist
This position is located at the Northern Region, Region 1, Kootenai National Forest in Troy, MT. This position is responsible for accomplishing a variety of support services. For additional information about the duties of this position, please contact Craig Allen at craig.m.allen@usda.gov.
Duties listed are at the full performance level, GS-06.
Keep employees informed of human resources policy and regulatory changes, such as those related to leave, injury compensation, retirement, and promotions
Provide services to include budget, travel, procurement, property management, records management, liaison, training, and clerical services to support the Unit (or management).
Utilize automated systems to initiate personnel requests, annual performance ratings, local recruitment efforts, and new employee orientation to support the Unit (or management).
Review outgoing correspondence for procedural and grammatical accuracy.
Perform general property management support services, such as maintenance and disposal of equipment
Purchase or contract for supplies, equipment, and services by selecting the correct and most cost-efficient method and/or instrument to accomplish procurement action.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or National. Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service or exempt.
