Support Staff/Floating Support Staff - 10/12-Month

Head Start Support Staff/Floating Support Staff- $16-$16.25/hour All Locations

Supervise and interact with children during planned classroom activities such as indoor/outdoor play, large or small group instruction, circle time, mealtimes, clean up, etc. Assist in supporting social and emotional development and providing positive guidance. Assist in establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy, learning environment. Positions are for 10/12-month vacancies within our Head Start Locations in Steuben & Yates County.

Ideal skills

• Basic organizational and basic math skills.
• Communication and language skills to comprehend documents and other correspondence.
• Basic computer skills with basic knowledge of Excel Microsoft office and other office equipment such as copier, scanner, fax etc...
• Ability to interact with customers from a variety of backgrounds.
• Capability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written and oral form.

High School diploma or equivalent

The ideal candidate must have a driver’s license, meeting agency standards and consistent, reliable transportation that will allow regular travel in and around the service area.
