Support Worker
We are seeking NDIS Support Workers in the Cooloola Cove Region on the Fraser Coast
- Provide support
to clients in accordance with their NDIS plans

Assist clients
with daily living activities, such as eating, dressing,
bathing and grooming

Provide
transportation assistance to clients

Provide respite
care to clients and their families

Keep accurate and
up-to-date records of clients' care plans and
progress

Communicate
effectively with clients, their families, and other members of
the care team
-
Follow health and
safety regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of
clients
-
Attend regular
meetings with clients and their families to review and
adjust their NDIS plans as needed

Provide
training and education to clients and their families on
how to navigate the NDIS system
-
Participate in
ongoing professional development to stay current with the
latest developments and best practices in the NDIS field
Requirements
- A minimum
of a high school or
equivalent
-
At least 1
year of experience working with people with
disabilities
- Experience with dementia is highly regarded
- Day shifts, nights, sleepovers, weekends
- Strong understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines
- Strong
communication and interpersonal skillsStrong problem-solving
and decision-making skillsExperience with CRM software
and NDIS portalsUnderstanding of health and safety
regulations
- Ability to work with a diverse client base,
understanding the different support needs of clients
based on their abilities, cultural backgrounds, and
language requirementsBasic care and first aid
skills
- Ability to
work independently and as part of a
team
- Strong
organizational and time management
skills
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
