Support Worker
Point Care is a dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with disabilities.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Assisting clients with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
- Providing social and emotional support to clients, engaging them in meaningful activities and outings
- Advocating for clients' needs and preferences, ensuring they receive personalised, person-centred care
- Collaborating with the broader care team to develop and implement individualised care plans
- Maintaining accurate documentation and records related to client care
- Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Immediate availability – must be able to start on Tuesday, November 11
- Relevant qualifications in disability support or a related field (minimum Cert III)
- Experience working with clients who have challenging behaviours and mental health conditions
- Proven reliability – must be committed to scheduled shifts and demonstrate a strong work ethic
- Previous experience in a similar role with a demonstrated commitment to person-centred care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport and trust with clients
- Strong problem-solving skills and a flexible, adaptable approach
- A genuine passion for making a positive difference in people’s lives
- A current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle (desirable)
- Available shifts include: 0600–1700, 1700–2200 + sleepovers, and 0600–0900.
