What You’ll Do:

As a Supported Living Direct Support Professional, you’ll be part of the everyday moments that make a big difference. You’ll provide direct care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities living in our Supported Living Homes—helping each person build independence, enjoy meaningful routines, and feel supported at home and in the community.

Some Essential Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Partner with individuals to meet their needs in line with their Individual Support Plan (ISP), including daily routines, personal care, meals, errands, community outings, companionship, medication administration, and medical appointments.
  • Help keep Supported Living Homes safe, secure, welcoming, and comfortable.
  • Maintain required certifications, including CPR/First Aid and Medication Administration.
  • Support personal needs throughout the shift, such as eating, bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and other daily living activities.
  • Meet each individual’s physical and emotional needs with patience, kindness, and encouragement.
  • Treat every individual with respect—as an equal—and keep their needs as the top priority.
  • Assist with mealtime set-up, preparation, serving, and clean-up while encouraging independence and participation.
  • Complete required daily, monthly, and other documentation accurately and on time.
  • Observe, review, and report progress toward Individual Plan goals.
  • Notice changes in behavior or physical health and report concerns to a supervisor.
  • Provide transportation to and from medical appointments and community activities.

What You Need

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Valid driver’s license (and clean driving record)
  • 1 year of direct care experience – required
  • Ability to pass required background checks (we help with this!)
  • Pre-employment physical & TB test
  • Use of personal vehicle for transportation of individuals while working in the community
