SUPV IT CYBERSECURITY SPECIALIST (INFOSEC)
This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Supervision/Management Work Category at the Expert Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA MSO/RISK MANAGEMENT DIRECTORATE.
Serves as Division Chief within the Risk Management Directorate. Supervises, manages, and leads the activities of employees which plan and support red team and incident response team activities.
Directs the development of technical and procedural solutions to support high-level DOD objectives providing supportable solutions to the entire DOD community.
Develops new theories, concepts, principles, standards, and methods related to Information Assurance, Incident Response, and Ethical Hacking.
Represents the Agency in high level meetings, briefings, conferences, speeches, presentations and oversight hearings, in promoting awareness of security issues.
Develops new program initiatives to address the emerging threat with solutions which balance operational requirements against security.
