What You’ll Do
As a Dental Assistant, you’ll provide exceptional chairside support while helping patients throughout every stage of their treatment experience.
Deliver outstanding patient care and create a welcoming, positive experience from check-in through treatment.
Prepare operatories, instruments, equipment, and materials before each patient appointment.
Assist dentists during denture procedures, dental implant placement, oral surgery, extractions, and prosthetic treatments in accordance with state regulations.
Take and assist with alginate denture impressions, select appropriate impression trays, and prepare wax bites under dentist direction.
Educate patients on treatment plans, denture options, implant procedures, post-operative care, home care instructions, and financial packages.
Obtain and document patient medical histories, treatment information, and clinical notes accurately.
Take dental radiographs (X-rays) in accordance with state certification requirements.
Maintain strict infection prevention and sterilization standards by cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing instruments and operatories.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering clinical supplies.
Support daily office operations, including maintaining a clean, organized clinical environment.
Travel occasionally for training and continuing education opportunities as needed.
Perform additional duties to support patient care and office success.
Qualifications
Required:
High School Diploma or GED
X-ray certification
2+ years of dental assisting experience
Experience assisting with dentures, removable prosthetics, or dental implants
Experience taking denture impressions and wax bites
Experience assisting with oral surgery and extractions
Experience with prosthodontic procedures
Familiarity with dental practice management software and electronic patient records
Strong communication and patient service skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment

Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and sit for extended periods throughout the workday
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally
Ability to work safely in a clinical environment while following OSHA and infection control protocols
