Surgical Nurse

A prestigious women's health clinic is looking for a Surgical Nurse to join our team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Valid professional nursing license
• Specialty in Surgical Nursing or Medical-Surgical Nursing (preferred)
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a circulating nurse, recovery nurse, and/or scrub nurse, preferably in Gynecology

Key Responsibilities

• Work as a scrub nurse or circulating nurse in the operating room
• Prepare and sterilize surgical supplies and instruments
• Provide direct assistance to the surgeon during surgical procedures
• Perform surgical counts of gauzes, needles, and surgical instruments
• Operate specialized medical and surgical equipment
• Provide patient care throughout the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the patient's medical record

Technical Knowledge

• Aseptic and antiseptic techniques
• Knowledge and handling of gynecological surgical instruments
• Biosafety and infection control regulations (NOM-087, NOM-045)
• Proper handling and disposal of Biohazardous Medical Waste (RPBI)

Skills

• Ability to work effectively under pressure
• Strong attention to detail, as errors may have critical consequences
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent manual dexterity
• Assertive and effective communication with the surgical team
