The Survey Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all surveying operations to support engineering, construction, land development, and infrastructure projects. This role manages field and office survey staff, ensures the accuracy and quality of survey data, maintains compliance with industry standards and regulations, and works closely with project managers, engineers, clients, and regulatory agencies to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage and oversee all field and office surveying activities.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate survey projects to meet budget and timeline requirements.
- Review survey data, plats, maps, legal descriptions, and deliverables for accuracy and quality.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop survey staff, including field crews and technicians.
- Collaborate with clients, engineers, contractors, and regulatory agencies to support project success.
- Ensure compliance with surveying standards, regulations, and company safety policies.
- Support proposal development, project budgeting, and resource planning.
- Implement best practices, technology improvements, and quality control procedures.
