Survey Manager
Compensation between $100K and $130K!
We are partnering with our client to find a Survey Manager in the Greenville, South Carolina area, who will be responsible for leading complex surveying and mapping projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and mentor survey professionals. The Survey Manager will manage and coordinate boundary, topographic, and subdivision surveys for a variety of public and private sector projects.
Required:
- South Carolina Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) registration.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in land surveying, subdivision mapping, topographic mapping, and preparation of legal descriptions.
- Proficiency with Carlson Survey software and GPS equipment.
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D software applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple assignments, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and sound professional judgment.
- Client-service mindset with the ability to lead teams and work collaboratively across disciplines.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in environments that may contain venomous snakes and insects, including ticks, bees, wasps, hornets, and yellow jackets.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work in a wide range of weather conditions and temperatures.
- Ability to climb hills, walk long distances, and traverse varied terrain.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Manage and coordinate boundary, topographic, and subdivision surveys for a variety of public and private sector projects.
- Prepare and oversee Topographic Maps, Boundary Adjustments, Subdivision Maps, Records of Survey, and Legal Descriptions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable surveying standards, regulations, boundary calculations, and legal ownership requirements.
- Lead and direct field survey crews and survey technicians to ensure quality project execution.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables to meet client expectations and quality standards.
- Serve as a technical advisor to engineering teams regarding surveying tasks, project requirements, and operational considerations.
- Utilize professional judgment and expertise to solve complex surveying and mapping challenges.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, project stakeholders, and internal teams throughout project delivery.
Pay: $100K - $130K DOE
