Position: Survey Methodology Specialist

Contract duration: 12 months contract (Renewable)

Salary: $4,200 – $5,000/monthly

Location: Havelock

  • Develop and review survey methodologies, sampling approaches and research designs.

  • Conduct statistical analysis and provide methodological recommendations to support survey projects.

  • Review data quality, identify anomalies and recommend appropriate corrective actions.

  • Develop and maintain methodology guidelines, SOPs and technical documentation.

  • Work closely with Survey Operations, Data and Quality teams to ensure accurate and consistent implementation of methodologies.

  • Support methodology testing, validation and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Leverage AI tools and technologies to enhance survey methodology, data analysis, quality checks, research processes and operational efficiency.

  • Explore and implement AI-assisted approaches for data validation, pattern identification, text analysis, reporting and process automation, where appropriate.

  • Provide technical advice and present methodology findings to relevant stakeholders.

  • Ensure survey methodologies comply with applicable statistical standards, policies, data confidentiality and governance requirements.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Economics, Research Methodology or a related discipline.

  • Relevant experience in survey methodology, statistics, research, data analysis or a related field.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with good attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in statistical/data analysis tools such as R, Python, SAS, SPSS or equivalent.

  • Familiarity with AI tools, generative AI, machine learning or AI-assisted data analytics, with the ability to identify and apply suitable AI solutions to improve research and survey processes.

  • Good understanding of data quality, statistical concepts and research methodologies.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to translate technical and analytical findings into practical recommendations.
