Research Data Operations and Survey Scripting Manager
London (Hybrid) | £40–50k
!!!UK-entitled-to-work and based candidates only, please!!!
We’re representing a research agency delivering high‑profile domestic and international quantitative programmes. They are looking for a hands‑on operational specialist who can combine survey scripting, data processing, automation, and workflow management to ensure smooth, efficient, high‑quality delivery across multiple concurrent studies.
Role Overview
As Research Data Operations and Survey Scripting Manager, you will sit at the centre of the agency’s quantitative delivery engine. You’ll work across scripting, data workflows, automation pipelines, reporting operations, and technical delivery processes — ensuring programmes run accurately, efficiently, and with strong governance.
You’ll bring structure, clarity, and operational judgement to complex multi‑market environments, acting as both a delivery lead and a technical escalation point.
Key Responsibilities
Operational delivery across survey scripting, data processing, reporting workflows, and automation
Build, maintain, and optimise automation pipelines, APIs, and operational tooling
Strengthen QA, governance, documentation, and escalation frameworks
Identify delivery risks early, manage dependencies, and ensure smooth workflow alignment
Act as the technical escalation point for complex scripting or data issues
Attend client meetings and translate technical challenges into clear operational or commercial implications
Push back professionally where timelines, scope, or approaches create delivery risk
Skills & Experience
Experience in market research operations, data processing, or research technology
Strong hands‑on scripting capability (Decipher, Qualtrics, Dimensions, Forsta or similar)
Solid data workflow experience across SPSS, Q, DisplayR, dashboards, and cross‑tabs
Strong data wrangling, cleaning, and transformation skills
Experience with Python, SQL, JavaScript, APIs, and workflow automation
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and operational judgement
Experience delivering large‑scale, multi‑market quantitative programmes
Why This Role Matters
You’ll be joining a team modernising and scaling its research operations capability — shaping automation frameworks, delivery processes, and technical infrastructure that support global programmes. It’s a role for someone who enjoys both hands‑on technical delivery and operational leadership.
