Bring your financial crime expertise to an industry with purpose, scale and global impact
At MUFG Pension & Market Services, your skills in financial crime investigations, AML/CTF and regulatory reporting translate directly into meaningful work supporting millions of Australians. As part of the largest business within a global financial institution, you’ll apply your specialist knowledge in a complex, highly regulated environment — while building your career in superannuation with strong development pathways and exposure to high‑profile clients and regulators.
This role is ideal for a financial crime specialist who brings deep experience in end‑to‑end Suspicious Matter Reporting (SMRs) and a strong understanding of regulatory obligations, and is keen to apply that expertise in a new sector.
About the role
As a Suspicious Matter Reporting Analyst, you’ll play a critical role in protecting members, clients and the organisation from financial crime. What you’ll be doing day‑to‑day
- Conduct end‑to‑end Suspicious Matter investigations, from initial detection through to analysis, documentation and submission of high‑quality SMRs
- Prepare clear, concise and regulator‑ready Suspicious Matter Reports for internal stakeholders, clients and external regulators
- Apply strong knowledge of AML/CTF, KYC, sanctions and broader financial crime obligations to assess and mitigate risk
- Monitor internal and external fraud trends, contributing to fraud controls, threat‑hunting techniques and continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage SMR queues and inboxes to ensure delivery within contracted SLAs and regulatory timeframes
- Partner with multiple internal teams to balance member experience, fraud mitigation and operational efficiency
- Provide SME support across fraud and financial crime matters, including guidance, training and uplift activity
- Engage with regulators and law enforcement in line with organisational policies and statutory requirements

- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Financial Crime, AML/CTF, Fraud or Risk environment
- Demonstrated end‑to‑end SMR experience, including investigations and high‑quality written reporting

- Ability to operate as a leader and influencer without direct people management responsibility
