Sustainability Analyst (Biofuels)

Join a leading global energy trading firm at the forefront of the renewable fuels market. We are seeking a highly motivated Sustainability Analyst to oversee sustainability compliance, certification, and regulatory requirements across biofuels trading activities.

Partnering closely with traders and international stakeholders, you will play a pivotal role in managing sustainability risks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enabling commercially successful trading operations. THE ROLE

Conduct structured monthly and quarterly closing reviews of Mass Balance accounts and related Sustainability Documents (SD/POS) for internal reporting.

Support the preparation of data and materials required for annual sustainability certification audits (including but not limited to the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) and Roundtable on Sustainable Biomass (RSB))

Monitor, analyse, and summarize emerging regulatory developments and market pertaining to Low Carbon Fuels (LCF) for internal stakeholders.

Contribute to digital transformation initiatives such as the automation of (manual) routine tasks and improve overall data accuracy.

Provide ad-hoc advisory to internal stakeholders regarding sustainability due diligence, operational workflows, and projects.

Other ad-hoc assignments as necessary.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s Degree

Fresh graduate or professionals with up to 1 year of work experience

Familiarity with programming and/or coding skills is a plus

Basic knowledge of the global energy trading and oil & gas landscape.

High attention to detail with accurate, well-controlled documentation.

Clear communicator with strong people skills for effective work with global team
