Sustainability Engineer (Audit, energy-saving, Critical Facilities Operation, UPS, Chiller, Engineering Support/ Central, 6K)

About the role:

Drive engineering excellence, optimisation, and compliance across data centre operations while partnering with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as SME for M&E, BMS, security, and DC operations
  • Lead problem management aligned with ITIL practices
  • Drive energy optimisation, audits, retrofits, and cost efficiency initiatives
  • Manage certification programmes (e.g. TIA-942, ISO, Green Mark) end-to-end
  • Oversee procurement, contracts, and technical service vendors
  • Collaborate with project teams to improve design, build quality, and maintainability
  • Develop and maintain technical standards, SOPs, and best practices
  • Ensure compliance with regulations, codes, and industry standards
  • Lead technical capability building across data centres
  • Support customer technical audits and reporting

Requirements:

  • Diploma/Degree in M&E Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field
  • Experienced or interested in critical facilities or data centre operations
  • Good knowledge of MEP systems (UPS, chillers, generators, etc.)
  • Energy/environmental certifications (e.g. SCEM, LEED, Green Mark) advantageous, good to have
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Able to work independently under tight timelines
