As a leader and subject matter expert, the Raw Materials Data Lead will work both as a process owner for Cross-Segment paper data collection, as well as an internal consultant for segment and corporate raw material data needs. These data needs will be continuously gathered and prioritized - progress & results will be presented as part of regular cross-segment calls. The role will also be engaged with Mars' Digital Transformation, Controllership and Reporting teams as needed.

What are we looking for?

• You bring proven expertise in data governance and lifecycle management, including historical data migration, database structure design, and continuous data quality optimization.

• You are skilled in data visualization and automation tools, with hands-on proficiency in PowerBI and modern data pipeline architectures (e.g., data lake integration).

• You demonstrate strong cross-functional communication and consulting skills, with the ability to bridge business/segment needs, reporting requirements, and corporate governance.

• (Nice-to-have) Experience with Deforestation & Conversion-Free (DCF) sustainability metrics, raw materials (Pulp/Paper, Palm, Soy, Sugar), or environmental impact accounting.

• (Nice-to-have) Familiarity with internal corporate controls, audit readiness, or non-financial sustainability reporting frameworks.

What would be your key responsibilities?

• Drive the Cross-Segment Paper Data Collection Process: Lead the end-to-end annual data collection cycle for paper-based packaging across all Mars segments—coordinating with buyers, engaging suppliers, and verifying, cleaning, and formatting datasets to maximize response rates and data accuracy.

• Govern & Centralize Raw Material Historical Data: Centrally manage multi-year historical data assets (2015 onwards), architecting and maintaining central databases to streamline access, maintenance, and data quality insights across all segments.

• Automate Sustainability & Deforestation-Free (DCF) Metrics: Bridge data-lake gaps to build centralized data pipelines for core raw materials (Pulp/Paper, Palm, Soy, Sugar) and design interactive PowerBI dashboards to deliver actionable sustainability insights.

• Support Enterprise Reporting & Internal Controls: Partner closely with Segment Program Leads, Corporate Reporting teams, and Corporate Controllership to define robust data controls, ensure governance compliance, and contribute data to Mars' Global Sustainability reporting (e.g., Sustainable in a Generation Report).
