Sustaining Project Manager (Sustaining PM)

Position Overview
The Sustaining PM takes full ownership of products post-NPI (New Product Introduction) through to Mass Production (MP). You will be directly accountable to Tier-1 international brand clients and manufacturing facilities, driving excellence in quality, delivery, cost, and supply continuity.

Key Responsibilities (Job Description)

• Product Lifecycle & Operations: Manage products from NPI-to-MP transition through continuous improvement programs to eventual End-of-Life (EOL) execution.
• Engineering Change Management (ECN/ECO): Orchestrate cross-functional teams (RD, QA, SCM, Factory) to validate and implement BOM updates, documentation, and version control.
• Customer & Account Interface: Act as the primary window for global brand clients, hosting international alignment meetings, and managing critical customer escalations and delivery issues.
• Quality Assurance & Issue Resolution: Drive root cause analysis for mass production failures using 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone diagrams, minimizing RMA and DPPM.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Delivery & Quality: On-Time Delivery (OTD), Production Yield, and RMA / DPPM Reduction.
• Efficiency & Assets: ECN Change Implementation Lead Time and Excess & Obsolete (E&O) Inventory Reduction.

Qualifications
1. Professional Experience

• Industry Tenure: 5+ years of experience in the electronics manufacturing industry.
• PM Track Record: 5+ years of hands-on experience as a PM / Program Manager.
• Sector Background: Preferred experience in ODM/OEM environments handling Consumer Electronics, Networking, Servers, IPC, or Power Supplies.
• Process Knowledge: Deep familiarity with the entire NPI ➔ MP ➔ Sustaining product lifecycle.

2. Technical Expertise & Systems

• Domain Knowledge: Manufacturing Processes, Supply Chain Management, ECN/ECO workflows, DFM/DFA concepts, and Quality Systems (8D, FMEA, CAPA).
• System Proficiency: Hands-on experience with SAP / Oracle ERP, Microsoft Project, and Jira.

3. Language & Soft Skills

• Language Skills: Fluent/Business-level English. Must be fully capable of leading international conference calls and delivering executive-level presentations to Western brand clients.
• Core Competencies: Strong Cross-functional Leadership, Customer Management, Risk Mitigation, and robust Root Cause Analysis (RCA) capabilities under pressure.
