Description

Part-Time Swim Instructor | $14–$18/hour | Paid Training | After-School and Weekend Shifts

Teach kids to swim at Big Blue Swim School in Paoli. Our lessons are Built by Olympians, and we train you on all of it, so no teaching experience is needed. If you love the water and enjoy working with kids, this is a fun, flexible job that fits around school.

What you'll do. You'll teach small-group lessons to children, from babies to school-age swimmers, following our step-by-step curriculum so every lesson is fun, effective and focused on safety. You'll celebrate progress with your swimmers, share it with their parents, and help keep the pool deck safe and welcoming.

Training and pay. Pay is $14 to $18 per hour. Training is paid and includes lifeguard and CPR certification. Every instructor completes 100+ hours of Big Blue training before teaching their first lesson, so you'll feel ready on day one. You'll also get free swim lessons for your kids and a path to Lead and management roles if you want to grow with us.

Schedule. Shifts are weekday afternoons and evenings (until 8 pm) and weekend mornings, with a set weekly schedule you can plan around. You'll need to be available at least two weekday afternoons or one weekend morning.

Who we're looking for. You're 16 or older, comfortable in the water, and patient, upbeat and good with kids. Strong swimmers, former swim team members and lifeguards are a great fit. You'll need to pass a background check.

Where you'll work. Our indoor pool is heated to 90° and located at 82 E Lancaster Ave in Paoli, an easy drive from Malvern, Berwyn, Exton, West Chester, Phoenixville, Newtown Square, and the Main Line. Paoli is also home to our Junior Swim Team program.

Applying takes about two minutes, and we contact every applicant within two business days.
