Job Summary
Plan and deliver swimming lessons tailored to children of various ages and skill levels, ensuring participant safety and supporting swimming events and competitions.
Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct swimming lessons for children across different age groups and skill levels to enhance their swimming abilities
- Enforce pool safety rules and continuously monitor participants to maintain a safe swimming environment
- Develop and customize individual lesson plans to address the unique needs and progress of each student
- Support the organization and execution of swimming events and competitions to promote skill development and engagement
Required competencies and certifications
- Hold ASCTA, AUSTSWIM, or NROC certification to ensure professional swimming instruction standards
- Maintain current First Aid, CPR, and AED training and certification for emergency preparedness
- Demonstrate strong swimming skills and the ability to effectively demonstrate swimming techniques
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Exhibit patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude to foster a supportive learning environment
- Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate lesson schedules and events
- Experience working with children of all ages to adapt teaching methods appropriately
