Sys. Engineer/DevOps
Summary
Builds and maintains cloud/server infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and Kubernetes clusters for a product company using GCP, Docker, and Python/Bash automation.
- 1. Works with a wide range of technologies, and Cloud products. Build backend server environments.
- 2. Create processes that can be leveraged to help drive efficiencies and quality.
- 3. Design and operate operational excellence.
- 4. Drive automation of environments to drive scalability of the team.
- 5. Work with backend developer to design and operate high availability systems.
- 6. Build operational excellence mechanisms to drive Tier-1 application standards.
- 7. Build, maintain, and optimize Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) pipelines for company applications.
- 8. Collaborate with developers and operations teams to improve processes and software quality.
- 9. Automate manual processes, improve system efficiency, and ensure repeatability using scripting languages such as Python, or Bash.
Selection Criteria
- 1. Minimum 2 - 3 years of experience in software development, devops or related field.
- 2. Minimum of Bachelor degree in Informatics Engineering or related field.
- 3. Proven work experiences to design and setup backend (cloud or on premise) server from scratch for a successful Web or Mobile App Developer or similar role, on cloud or on premises.
- 4. Strong debugging and systems analysis skills to be able to identify and quickly resolve/mitigate issues.
- 5. Solid understanding of security principles and best practices, particularly within cloud environments.
- 6. Ability to track the health of our services, identify and fix problems on complex systems.
- 7. Experience and expertise in handling cloud provider GCP.
- 8. Proficiency in containerization technologies (Docker) and container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes).
- 9. Experience working with microservices architecture and familiarity with agile development methodologies.
- 10. Strong ability to manage and operate Linux environments, including configuration, hardening, troubleshooting, and command-line–based automation.
Skill required :
- 2. Computer Network : TCP/IP, DNS, SSL/TLS, VPN IPsec, Reverse Proxy, Load Balancers, NAT.
- 3. Orchestration & Containerization :
- Docker (image build, optimization, registry management)
- CI/CD Pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
- 5. Monitoring & Observability : Datadog, Sentry, Prometheus, Grafana, Cloud Monitoring.
