System Administrator & Platform Engineer (RHEL & OpenShift Specialist)

12-Month Contract - renewable based on project demand

Singapore - Onsite

Overview: Seeking a administrator and engineer with expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) to manage enterprise infrastructure, container platforms, security, and operational support.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain RHEL 8/9 environments supporting OpenShift clusters and enterprise application servers.

• Execute OS patching, lifecycle upgrades, subscription management, system hardening, SELinux enforcement, and compliance activities.

• Deploy, upgrade, and manage OpenShift 4.x clusters, including worker nodes, control plane, certificates, RBAC, SCCs, quotas, networking, and storage.

• Manage Machine Config Operator (MCO) configurations, OS customisations, kernel parameters, SSH hardening, and NTP settings.

• Support Quay registry administration, image lifecycle management, vulnerability remediation, and container security practices.

• Provide platform support for enterprise applications such as Pega, WebSphere, IBM MQ, APIs, SFTP, and web services integrations.

• Perform performance tuning for containerised Java workloads, JVM optimisation, monitoring, backup, recovery, and operational governance.

• Collaborate with architecture and delivery teams on cloud-native, DevSecOps, CI/CD, IaC, and AWS-related initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience in RHEL System Administration within enterprise production environments.

• Expertise in dnf/yum package management, patching, SELinux, CIS-based hardening, EUS lifecycle management, and Satellite administration.

• Proven experience deploying and administering OpenShift 4.x clusters and Day-2 operations.

• Knowledge of OpenShift networking, ingress, routes, storage classes, PV/PVC management, RBAC, SCCs, network policies, and security controls.

• Experience with Quay Registry, image scanning, vulnerability management, and air-gapped environments.

• Understanding of Kubernetes, microservices architecture, container lifecycle management, and enterprise integration platforms.

• Working knowledge of IBM MQ administration, high availability, messaging infrastructure, and troubleshooting.

• Exposure to AWS services including IAM, S3, CloudWatch, and hybrid cloud environments.

Additional Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience within platform engineering, infrastructure, cloud, or technical architecture environments.
• Applicants must be Singapore Citizens to meet project requirements.
