System Administrator and Business Analyst
High Performance Sport New Zealand (HPSNZ) is looking for a SUMMIT System Administrator & Business Analyst to play a key role in the ongoing success of SUMMIT, our athlete management and performance intelligence platform.
This is a hands-on, varied role for someone who understands the high-performance sport environment and enjoys solving problems, improving systems and making things work better. You’ll work across system administration, business analysis, user support and continuous improvement, connecting sport, business and technical teams to ensure SUMMIT delivers real value to the people who use it.
What you’ll do
- Administer and optimise the SUMMIT platform, including system configuration, user access, integrations, and data quality / admin.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into system enhancements and improved processes.
- Support agile delivery activities, backlog management, and continuous platform improvement.
- Drive user adoption through training, support, documentation, and best-practice guidance.
- Act as a key link between business users, technical teams, and vendors.
About you
You’re a proactive, practical problem solver who enjoys variety, works at pace and isn’t afraid to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in.
You can work autonomously, while also being a strong team player. You’re naturally curious, comfortable getting into the detail and proactive about finding solutions rather than waiting for someone else to provide the answer.
You’ll bring:
- Demonstrated experience working within a high-performance, elite or professional sport environment. This is essential.
- A genuine passion for high-performance sport and an understanding of the needs of athletes, coaches and performance practitioners.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and experience administering or supporting enterprise systems, ideally an Athlete Management System (AMS), CRM, performance platform or similar.
- Strong business analysis skills, including requirements gathering, process mapping, problem-solving and user story development.
- The ability to work at pace while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- A hands-on attitude and willingness to jump in, investigate issues, support users, test solutions and do what’s needed to keep things moving.
- The confidence to work independently and proactively find solutions, as well as collaborate effectively as part of a team.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to make technical concepts clear and practical across documents, process mapping and training material.
- Experience working in an agile or continuous improvement environment.
Why join us?
This is an opportunity to work at the heart of New Zealand's high-performance sport system, helping athletes, coaches, and practitioners access the technology and information they need to perform at their best. You'll join a collaborative team committed to innovation, continuous learning, and making a meaningful impact.
Location: Open to any High Performance Sports NZ centres nationwide.
