Your Role:

  • You will be in charge of the server setup, configuration, maintenance, and monitoring (Debian Linux).
  • You will take care of the software deployment.
  • You will be ensuring the security and efficiency of our IT infrastructure.
  • You will have to troubleshoot issues and outages.
  • You will be working closely alongside our software developers.
  • You must be available, in turns, in the evenings and weekends in case of emergencies (as part of our on-call duty team).

Must have requirements

Your Background:

  • You bring proven previous experience as a System Administrator, Database Administrator, or similar role.
  • You have previous experience using Linux as an operating system, preferably Debian.
  • You have Knowledge of system security (e.g., intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery.
  • You bring experience in dealing with networks (WIFI, LAN, WAN) and patch management.
  • You have the ability to create scripts in Bash, PHP and Python, Perl or other language.
  • You consider yourself to be resourceful and to have a problem-solving attitude.
  • You bring good communication skills in spoken and written English, preferably in German as well.

Nice to have requirements

Nice to haves:

  • Ideally you are familiar with container-environments (Docker, Kubernetes) and build automatization (Jenkins)
  • It is a plus if you have had the chance to do Database management (MySQL, Clickhouse)
  • Ideally you have knowledge and experience in the most common big data projects (Kafka, Redis, Hadoop, Druid, Elastic etc.)
  • B.Sc./B.A. in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; professional certification in this field.
