Summary
Onsite System Administrator II in San Diego who provisions and maintains AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, VPC), administers Linux and Windows servers, keeps systems STIG-compliant, remediates vulnerabilities with ACAS, and automates with Ansible. Requires an active U.S. security clearance and CompTIA Security+ (or ability to obtain it).

Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for provisioning, configuring, and sustaining AWS services such as but not limited to EC2, S3, VPC, and AWS Event Bridge.
- Utilizing resource monitoring tools to manage and report on assets within AWS VPC.
- Experience developing and executing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), primarily using Ansible Playbooks
- Create and maintain clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation for technical work performed, including system configurations, troubleshooting steps, and project implementations
- Execute baseline BTFs (Build Test Frameworks) to validate environmental functionality and ensure system performance aligns with specified requirements
- Maintain system patches, as well as operating system, in accordance with Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance.
- Scan systems and assist the team in remediating vulnerabilities using ACAS.
- Administrate, monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain Window or Linux-based workstations, enterprise IT servers, systems software requirements, and analytical support.
- Provide guidance, assistance, coordination, and follow-up on complex problems and ensure resolution.
- Familiar with automated deployment and CI/CD workflows to assist with application developers and operations to support production applications.
- Perform server administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, research event log warnings and errors, resource monitoring and resolution, while ensuring system architecture components work together seamlessly.
Required Qualifications
- Currently holds an active U.S. national security clearance OR can obtain one (process is facilitated through the company upon hire; to learn more about the security clearance process, please access this link).
- CompTIA Security+ Certified (or able to secure certification upon hire)
- 2-5 years system administration experience related to:
- Linux operating systems (i.e., RHEL, CentOS)
- Windows Server Operating Systems (i.e., 2020, 2022)
- Virtual machines (i.e., VMware, VirtualBox, Hyper-V)
- Cloud computing infrastructure (i.e., Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure)
- Information Assurance Compliance (i.e., STIGs, ACAS, ENS/HBSS)
- Automation and Scripting (i.e., Bash, Python, PowerShell, etc.)
- Experience with providing user support
Preferred Qualifications
- Cloud Certification (i.e., CompTIA Cloud +, ISC2 CCSP, VMWare Cloud Service Solutions)
- Containerization (i.e., Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
- Infrastructure-as-Code (i.e., Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Identity management administration (i.e., Active Directory, AWS IAM, OpenAM, Keycloak)
- Cloud infrastructure management tools (i.e., AWS Systems Manager, Azure Monitor)
Clearance Requirements
Some positions will require access to U.S. National Security information. Positions that require this access will be required to receive and maintain a U.S. government personnel security clearance (PCL). In order to qualify for this position, the candidate must be a US Citizen and either currently possess this National Security eligibility or be able to complete the investigation application process with a favorable determination and maintain that eligibility throughout their employment.
