System Administrator ( Linux Focus )

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.) in physical and virtual environments

• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform capacity planning

• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls

• Perform regular system updates, patch management, and security hardening

• Configure and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures

• Manage network services including DNS, DHCP, NFS, and firewalls

• Automate routine tasks using shell scripting, Ansible, or similar tools

• Support virtualization and cloud platforms (VMware, AWS, Azure, or GCP)

• Maintain system documentation and produce operational reports

• Collaborate with development and security teams on infrastructure requirements

Requirements

• At least 8 years’ experience in supporting UNIX/Linux and backup tools(CommVault/Netbackup)

• Hands on experience in datacenter operation, familiar with server hardware specification, cabling and equipment.

• Solid working experience in SAN storage and SAN switch administration

• Good knowledge of network protocols, Ethernet, Vlan, routing and IP

• Familiar with Ansible, shell scripting is an advantage

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills

• Able to manage vendors to perform project implementation and BAU supports

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Able to work or support production issue during non-office hours
