Requirements:
- Solid knowledge of TCP/IP, NAT, routing, MTU, VLAN;

- Proficiency in Linux diagnostic utilities: tcpdump, ip route, iptables;
- Understanding of network concepts and ability to configure routers, switches, and PoE equipment;
- Solid experience with Ubuntu (bare metal): systemd, services, autostart, log collection and analysis;

- Automation: ability to write an Ansible playbook or a lightweight automation script;
- Experience with or understanding of Modbus/RS-485 protocols;
- Understanding of OTA update mechanisms (Mender, A/B disk partitioning);
- Background in Linux System Administration, Network Engineering, or IoT/Embedded projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead Engineer in deploying, configuring, and maintaining project infrastructure;
- Provision and configure physical nodes from scratch (Ubuntu bare metal) followed by testing;
- Set up and troubleshoot network connections (VPN tunnels, routing, VLAN, switches/routers);
- Write and maintain automation scripts for build and deployment processes (Bash / Python, Ansible, Docker Compose);
- Visit the Kyiv location (2–3 times a week as needed) for hands-on work with hardware (flashing, USB-based deployments, on-site testing).
