System Analyst (Banking / Japanese Speaking)

Salary: $6,500 – $7,500 per month

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced System Analyst with Japanese language proficiency to support banking technology initiatives involving payments, cash management and transaction banking systems.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys bridging business needs with technology solutions, assessing complex banking processes and collaborating with regional teams to deliver successful system enhancements and transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business needs and translate them into clear system and functional requirements for banking technology projects.

• Evaluate system designs, technical specifications and integration documents to ensure proposed solutions meet operational needs.

• Examine end-to-end payment and transaction processing workflows to identify potential gaps, risks and improvement opportunities.

• Work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams and external vendors to resolve requirement-related and system design issues.

• Review data mapping, system interfaces and integration dependencies to support reliable information exchange between platforms.

• Assess the impact of proposed system changes and recommend practical solutions to address identified challenges.

• Coordinate discussions with regional stakeholders, including Japanese-speaking teams, to ensure alignment throughout project delivery.

• Contribute to project monitoring, issue tracking, documentation and progress reporting.

• Support technology modernization and process improvement initiatives within the banking environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Finance or a related discipline.

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in systems analysis, business systems analysis or banking technology projects.

• Good understanding of payment processing, cash management, corporate banking or transaction banking operations.

• Practical experience assessing business requirements, functional designs, system interfaces and technical documentation.

• Ability to understand complex transaction flows, system integrations and data dependencies.

• Knowledge of data mapping, interface specifications and system change impact assessments.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and stakeholder coordination abilities.

• Proficiency in English and Japanese to communicate effectively with Japanese-speaking stakeholders and regional teams.

• Comfortable working independently while coordinating with multiple project stakeholders.

Added Advantages

• Experience with Cash Management Systems, payment modernization or transaction banking transformation projects.

• Familiarity with ISO 20022 messaging standards.

• Exposure to APIs, middleware, cloud-based banking solutions or system migration projects.

• Experience supporting regional banking programmes, particularly across APAC.

• Knowledge of project governance, vendor coordination or project delivery controls.
