Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and innovative System Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing Java-based applications and preparing high-quality technical documentation, including functional specifications, technical specifications, and design documents.

Experience in reviewing source code, writing SQL queries, and communicating effectively with both business and technical stakeholders to bridge business and technical requirements will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform technical analysis on a Regional Payment Solutions Project, understanding the system architecture, functional and non-functional requirements, and end-to-end system flows.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams on solution design, functional design, and technical design throughout project initiation, implementation, and post-implementation support.

  • Propose alternative solutions to enhance system performance and meet business requirements while aligning with industry best practices.

  • Develop and review technical specifications and supporting design documentation to ensure solutions meet functional requirements.

  • Manage vendors, facilitate quality reviews, provide recommendations, and ensure deliverables meet project standards.

  • Review test strategies and test plans, including Unit Testing, System Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

  • Support testing activities during SIT, UAT, and post-implementation.

  • Analyze existing Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes and recommend continuous improvements through regular reporting to the Project Manager and relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Cross-Border Payments and Reporting Plus (CBPR+) standards and payment messaging.

  • Familiarity with MEPS+ (MAS Electronic Payment System) and domestic payment processing.

  • Understanding of SWIFT MT and ISO 20022 MX message formats, including message mapping, migration, and payment flows.

  • Experience in payment systems, financial messaging, or banking transformation projects related to cross-border and domestic payments.

  • Exposure to regulatory and compliance requirements associated with payment messaging standards and financial institutions.

  • Experience and knowledge in Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Java libraries, and Oracle Database will be an advantage.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

  • At least 6–7 years of experience in system and/or technical analysis within the banking industry.

  • Hands-on experience in preparing functional specifications and technical design specifications.

  • Experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including medium to large-scale live system implementations.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to understand product specifications and prepare clear, concise documentation.

  • Strong vendor management skills.

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience in project planning and managing small-scale teams will be preferred.
