System Analyst, BAU - Web Platform (Public Sector)

We are looking for an experienced IT professional to manage business-as-usual (BAU) operations, drive system enhancements, and act as the key liaison between business users and IT teams within a government agency environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Support
- Oversee day-to-day BAU operations, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability
- Act as the primary point of contact for business users on system issues, service requests, and enhancements
- Manage and prioritise incidents, service requests, and change requests in accordance with service level agreements (SLAs)
- Perform root cause analysis and drive resolution of system issues in collaboration with IT teams, vendors, and the Government Technology Agency
Governance & Data Management
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and proper usage across the system
- Enforce governance and compliance with relevant policies
- Ensure adherence to data protection requirements under the Personal Data Protection Act
- Drive data quality, reporting, and analytics to support policy-making and operational insights
Enhancements & Documentation
- Recommend continuous improvements
- Support enhancements and releases, including requirement analysis, testing, and deployment coordination
- Maintain system documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience working with government agencies preferred
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage vendors and support service delivery in an SLA-driven environment
- Proficiency with requirements management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)
- Prior experience independently managing IT projects within a government agency, either as a Project Manager or in a double-hatting Business Analyst/Project Manager capacity
- Proficiency in frontend web development using ReactJS, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3, with experience collaborating with business users, UX designers, and developers to deliver responsive, accessible, and maintainable web applications
