System Analyst
System Analyst
The System Analyst is responsible for troubleshooting, analysis, development, implementation, and maintenance of server and network technology, including infrastructure management, while supporting credit union team members and enhancing overall system performance and reliability.
We are looking for candidates with strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and practical way. The ideal candidate is committed to delivering exceptional internal service and leveraging modern technology solutions to improve efficiency, security, and user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tier 3 incident, problem, and event management by investigating issues reported by staff or escalated by the Service Desk, ensuring all issues and resolutions are documented.
- Plan and configure Microsoft Azure infrastructure and resources
- Manage and configure Azure Virtual Desktop
- Manage and configure Azure Networks
- Ensure best practices are implemented in a heavily regulated environment
- Ensure staff are proactively informed of system issues and provide timely updates until services are restored.
- Support and assist employees in the use of technology to enhance productivity, knowledge, and confidence.
- Perform technical management and maintenance of server, network, and IT infrastructure services.
- Analyze system, server, and network requirements and recommend improvements to optimize performance and reliability.
- Lead or support projects related to the design, implementation, or enhancement of IT services and infrastructure.
- Maintain and monitor server, endpoint security, and vulnerability management processes to ensure compliance and timely resolution of risks.
- Develop, document, and test IT business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
- Procure and manage hardware, software, and licensing while adhering to organizational policies.
- Collaborate across departments to support business needs and improve overall technology adoption and performance.
Qualifications
- Completion of post-secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5–7 years of experience working in an IT environment, with progressively increasing responsibility.
- Experience working with Microsoft Azure environments, including cloud infrastructure, identity management, storage accounts, function apps, app gateway and monitoring tools.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft server and desktop operating systems.
- Proven experience supporting and maintaining network infrastructure and virtualization technologies.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (e.g., routing, switching, firewalls, and security protocols).
- Experience in incident management, system troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and provide support to non-technical users.
- Proficiency working with Microsoft 365 tools (e.g., Teams, Excel, Power Automate, Power BI, Copilot).
