System Analyst (Department Portal, over $55K)
Summary
System analyst supporting a government department portal revamp in Hong Kong: UI/UX design and optimization, AI-powered search/virtual assistant setup, Java/JavaScript web programming, configuration and testing, plus maintaining servers across dev, test and production environments. Liferay Portal and DPHS knowledge is central to the role.
Salary: $55,000 – $63,000 per month
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical support for the portal revamp, including UI/UX design, AI service setup, system programming, configuration and testing.
Maintain underlying system software and servers across development, testing and production environments.
Coordinate with business users, IT teams and stakeholders to deliver the above duties.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
At least 4 years of IT experience
Strong technical background and practical support experience with web-based (Internet and Intranet) systems and applications
Solid experience in Departmental Portal development, particularly UI/UX design and optimization, complemented by knowledge of Departmental Portal Hosting Services (DPHS) and Liferay Portal
Experience in Java, JavaScript and Web programming
Proven capability in implementing AI-powered search or virtual assistant solutions
Familiarity on application development with Government standards and guidelines is highly preferred
