Salary: ฿60,000 – ฿80,000 per month
System Analyst >> Ugently
Type : Permanent
Location : Bangkok
Responsibilities
• Own the end-to-end architecture: Next.js frontend, NestJS backend, Python and Go microservices, Kong API gateway, PostgreSQL, MongoDB and Oracle, and the integration with the principal's engine over REST and ActiveMQ.
• Lead knowledge transfer from the current vendor: recover undocumented design from code, database and functional specifications, and write it down as architecture documents.
• Prove that the in-house team can build, test and deploy the platform from source.
• Set coding standards, branching and release rules, code review and definition of done.
• Design integration and data reconciliation with external systems and third-party APIs.
• Lead remediation of SAST, SCA and DAST findings: decide fix or justified false positive, and defend the decision with the client's security team.
• Agree interface contracts with the international principal and coordinate changes that cross that boundary.
• Lead the writing of functional and technical specifications: use cases, business rules, data flows, ERDs, API specifications and acceptance criteria.
• Lead reverse-documentation of existing behavior, module by module, from source code, database queries, functional design documents and user manuals.
• Keep traceability from requirement to code to UAT scenarios with testers.
• Explain business logic and data flow to the client's security reviewers, for example when a value can legitimately be empty and where it comes from.
• Run change control: analyst impact, estimate and technically review change requests against contractual scope, and separate defects from new requirements in the punch list.
• Review vendor deliverables during the parallel-run period.
• Interview and select developers, then onboard and mentor them.
• Plan and run the team's delivery cycle (sprint or release plan), assign work and track it.
• Report progress, risks and transition status to the project manager and the client.
Requirements:
• 7+ years of software development, including 3+ years as software architect, technical lead or lead system analyst of a production system.
• Hands-on depth in TypeScript, Node.js (NestJS or similar) and React (Next.js preferred), and any other such Go or Python backgrounds
• Proven experience taking over, stabilizing or modernizing a codebase written by another team or vendor.
• Microservices, REST/RESTful API, API gateways and message queues related to ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• Strong SQL and data modelling on PostgreSQL; working knowledge of MongoDB and Oracle.
• Docker, Kubernetes and Linux in on-premise, restricted-network environments.
• Secure SDLC: OWASP Top 10, and remediating SAST/SCA/DAST findings until a client security gate is passed.
• Plans and estimates: breaks change requests into tasks, estimates effort, and runs sprint or release plans in an Agile or hybrid model under a fixed-scope contract.
• Manages vendors and partners: has run or received a handover from an outgoing vendor, reviewed deliverables against contract scope, and coordinated with an international partner.
• Manages client stakeholders: leads requirement workshops, explains technical decisions to business users, and negotiates scope and change requests.
• Manages risk: keeps a risk and issue log, escalates early, and records key decisions (for example as ADRs).
• Builds team knowledge: documentation habits, pairing and rotation so that no module depends on one person.
• Clear written and spoken Thai and English with clients, vendors and principals.
