System Analyst
Summary
Analyze, develop, and maintain applications and system integrations using SQL, VB/.NET, Java, and Shell scripting, working closely with developers and architects in a financial institution environment.
Responsibilities
- Analyze, develop, enhance, debug, test, and maintain applications.
- Perform requirements analysis, mapping/design, technical specification, coding, and code reviews.
- Develop and maintain system integrations/interfaces using SQL, VB/.NET, Java, and Shell scripting.
- Perform unit testing, SIT, UAT support, production deployment, and post-implementation support.
- Manage job scheduling, troubleshoot application issues, and provide technical support.
- Develop new systems and interfaces where required, including SIT/UAT environment support.
- Prepare technical documentation and ensure proper knowledge transfer to the production/support team.
- Work with senior developers, system architects, and Application Delivery Managers to design fit-for-purpose technical solutions.
- Ensure solutions comply with security, regulatory, and architectural standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 6+ years of relevant application development experience, preferably within a financial institution.
- Strong experience in application development and system integration/interfacing.
- Hands-on experience with SQL, VB/.NET, Java, Red Hat Linux, and Shell scripting.
- Good understanding of SDLC, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Experience working on projects from requirements through production implementation.
- Ability to work with developers, architects, project teams, and business stakeholders.
- Good understanding of security, regulatory, and architectural requirements.
