System Analyst (Public Sector)

Salary: $70,000 – $78,000 per month

Our client is a statutory body managing all the government hospitals and institutes in Hong Kong. They are looking for individual talents to join their innovative development team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Administration, maintenance, and performance tuning of enterprise database systems.

• Lead and execute database migration projects using Change Data Capture (CDC) tools.

• Conduct feasibility studies and product evaluations on new database technologies and cloud platforms.

• Project and vendor management.

• Liaise with users for project implementation.

• Provide after office hours support if required
  

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline

• At least 6 years or above in application development o

• Experience in:

  - database migration and Change Data Capture (CDC) tools.

  - database administration across platforms (e.g., PostgreSQL, Sybase, Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL)

• project and vendor management.

• Self-motivated and able to work under tight schedule

• Knowledge in any of the following areas: Knowledge and experience in Private Cloud database services./ Experience in Kubernetes operation and containerized database monitoring tools.

• Practical understanding and experience with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.

• Good communication, analytical and presentation skills.

• Good command in both spoken and written English and Chinese
