Summary
System analyst in Singapore supporting implementation of a payment/securities settlement system: providing technical domain knowledge, setting up application environments and interfaces, coordinating DevSecOps pipelines, creating test cases, and supporting data migration, cutover and legacy decommissioning. Stack: Java/.NET, SQL, Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL Server.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical domain knowledge of the application logic during implementation.
- Assist with the technical setup of application environments and support technical requests from external suppliers.
- Assist the Project Manager with technical clarifications and stakeholder updates.
- Support the documentation of technical and data flows related to system interfaces.
- Assist in the setup and testing of connectivity to required system interfaces.
- Assist in coordinating the setup and testing of DevSecOps pipelines and workflows.
- Create technical test cases and perform the necessary testing activities.
- Assist with compliance reporting and related updates.
- Support data migration and system cutover activities.
- Support the subsequent decommissioning of the legacy system.
Required technical skills and technology stack
- Java and/or .NET development
- SQL
- Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Server
- Software design and architectural patterns
- Continuous integration and DevOps practices
- Fault-tolerant infrastructure concepts
- Hands-on software development and application support experience
- System integration and technical testing
- Ability to support application redevelopment, migration, cutover and production operations

Preferred system/application experience
- Experience supporting and implementing payment and securities settlement systems
- Experience with securities-related systems and financial instruments is advantageous
- Experience supporting production/BAU applications and resolving operational issues
- Experience in application redevelopment, system migration, testing and cutover
- Experience working with vendors and multiple technical/business teams
- Financial institution and/or public-sector application experience is advantageous
- Required years of experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience supporting and/or implementing payment and securities settlement systems.
- Educational qualifications or certifications
- Degree in a relevant discipline.
Any mandatory domain knowledge or industry experience
- Relevant experience in payment and/or securities settlement systems
- Understanding of securities-related applications and financial instruments
- Experience supporting business-critical applications and operational/production issues
- Understanding of system interfaces and dependencies with internal and external systems
- Financial-sector experience is strongly relevant to the role
