| Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance. |
Key Responsibilities\:
1. Responsible for the system development projects in cluster/hospitals covering user requirement analysis, system design, implementation, system rollout & post-implementation review.
2. Co-develop systems with third-party vendors and leverage the provided source code for further development and ensure business continuity.
3. Conduct feasibility study including recommendations for new IT system solutions.
4. Provide high level system analysis, problem diagnosis and solving.
5. Lead developers for application development and on-going enhancements, maintenance and support.
6. Monitor progress for the different stages of application development including design, development, testing, implementation and review.
7. Proper handling of change requests, review of standards and guidelines of IT solutions.
8. Ensure smooth systems operation by monitoring systems health, performance, batch processing and supporting facilitates around the clock.
9. Evaluate, recommend and assist procurement processes for required hardware, software or services.
10. Provide after office hours system support.
Entry Requirements\:
1. Degree in Computer Science or relevant disciplines; or equivalent.
2. 6 years’ post qualification Information Technology (IT) related experience.
* Relevant experience gained in HA may be considered as equivalent to post-qualification experience.
Preferred Attributes\:
1. Experience in system co-development or joint software development model, and familiar with clinical / laboratory systems, specimen / product tracking, blood bank or healthcare operations
2. Experience in the following technology areas would be an advantage\:-
a. Application development platforms and infrastructure, e.g. Spring Boot, React, Node.js/Express.js, Python as well as PostgreSQL, MySQL, OpenShift, etc
b. Agile software development model
c. Mobile application development
d. Agentic AI coding
3. Demonstrated skills in project planning, vendor management, risk mitigation, problem solving and ability to lead junior team members.
4. Mature, self-motivated, independent and able to work under pressure.
5. Good interpersonal/ communication skills and a good team player committed to high quality services.
6. Good command of both spoken and written English.

2. May be required to work over-night shifts and/or provide 24-hour on call support, and when necessary, provide on-site support services at different hospitals.
3. The service of Queen Elizabeth Hospital will be relocated to the Kai Tak Hospital in phases starting from year 2026.
