System Architect

About the role
Lead the system architecture for the Take Over Project, ensuring technical continuity, integration, scalability, cybersecurity, maintainability, and compliance. Guide engineering teams through transition, design validation, integration, testing, and deployment phases.
Key responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end system architecture and technical design across all project phases to ensure seamless integration and scalability
Assess inherited solutions to establish architecture baselines and identify technical gaps, risks, dependencies, and improvement opportunities during takeover
Review and validate system architecture, application design, infrastructure, interfaces, databases, and operational processes to maintain technical continuity
Define architecture roadmaps, system decomposition, interface architecture, and integration strategies aligned with project goals
Review requirements, design documents, and change requests to ensure architectural compliance and alignment with customer needs
Facilitate technical workshops with customers, operators, vendors, and subcontractors to drive collaboration and consensus
Identify, assess, and mitigate technical and integration risks to minimize project disruptions
Support testing, commissioning, performance validation, and operational readiness to ensure system reliability and availability
Provide technical leadership during knowledge transfer, transition, migration, deployment, and operational readiness to minimize service disruption
Ensure compliance with cybersecurity, reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety requirements throughout the project lifecycle
About you
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related discipline (mandatory)
Minimum 6 years of experience in system architecture, solution design, or systems engineering for large-scale enterprise or mission-critical systems
Minimum 4 years of experience leading architecture design for complex multi-system integration projects
Master's degree in Information Technology, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or Business Administration (preferred)
Experience in transportation, Account-Based Ticketing (ABT), Automatic Fare Collection (AFC), Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), Smart Mobility, or other mission-critical operational systems (preferred)
Experience in takeover, transition, migration, or modernization projects involving legacy systems (preferred)
Strong experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud), enterprise integration, APIs, microservices, and distributed system architecture (preferred)
Experience in cybersecurity architecture, high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning (preferred)
Demonstrated experience leading technical teams and engaging with customers, vendors, and senior stakeholders (preferred)
Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) and system integration methodologies (preferred)
Overseas travel is required for this role.
