For architecture specifically, this is a rare chance to build up the architecture practice, with scope to be pragmatic about what stays, what's replaced, and what's built new.

Reporting to the CIO / CISO, the System Architecture Manager leads clinical application and automation architecture across the Group, including:
- Developing and maintaining architecture standards and design patterns for Group level consumption
- Leading the design of clinical application and automation architecture solutions
- Partnering with the AI development group to ensure architecture alignment and effective integration
- Developing integration design patterns that support scalable, secure and sustainable clinical technology outcomes
- Leading vendor selection processes and managing key vendor relationships
- Shaping and developing a growing team, starting with one direct report and building to three or four over time
This is a broad generalist role. You'll be hands on in the design work while the function is smaller, with the scope to grow into leading a team of architects as it matures.
The successful candidate will:
- Be able to work across a broad and evolving technology landscape rather than staying narrowly specialised
- Be comfortable being hands on with design now, and equally comfortable building and leading a team as the function grows
- Have demonstrated experience developing architecture standards and design patterns for Group level consumption
- Have demonstrated leadership experience and capability
- Have experience contributing to enterprise or Group wide digital transformation initiatives
- Hold TOGAF certification or equivalent architecture certification, or equivalent experience
- Have the right attitude above all and calm under pressure
