About the role

We are seeking a proactive and technically curious System & DevOps Engineer to join our infrastructure team. This role sits at the vital intersection of System Reliability and DevOps Automation.

You will work directly with our Technical Lead to support and enhance our AWS Cloud environment, ensure system uptime, and build the automation pipelines that power our deployment lifecycle. This role sits at the vital intersection of System Reliability and DevOps Automation.


Key responsibilities

Cloud & System Engineering

  • AWS Administration: Assist in the provisioning, monitoring, and maintenance of core AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, and CloudWatch)

  • System Maintenance: Help manage Linux server environments, performing routine health checks and troubleshooting software or networking bottlenecks

  • Security & Compliance: Participate in security hardening exercises, cloud configuration audits, and automated patch management to ensure a security-first infrastructure

  • System Configuration: Install and configure proprietary software systems for clients

DevOps & Automation

  • CI/CD Pipeline Support: Contribute to the development and refinement of automated deployment pipelines to improve software delivery speed

  • Scripting: Automate routine tasks using Bash or Python to eliminate manual toil

  • Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC): Assist in managing infrastructure using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation, learning to treat hardware as code

  • Containerisation: Work with Docker to containerise applications and explore orchestration workflows

  • Documentation: Maintain clear, concise documentation for infrastructure workflows, deployment processes, and internal tools


About you

  • 2+ years of work experience in DevOps and Systems Engineering, including familiarity with Git/GitHub version control

  • Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix command-line operations

  • Good understanding of cloud computing concepts, preferably AWS

  • Proficiency in scripting language (Python, Bash, or similar)

  • A tinkerer mentality—you enjoy taking things apart to see how they work and fixing them when they break

  • AWS or Azure certification (preferred)

  • Exposure to Docker or basic container concepts (preferred)

  • Good understanding of networking (DNS, HTTP, TCP/IP) (preferred)

  • Customer engagement experience (preferred)
