Summary
Entry- or junior-level systems engineer at Wyetech supporting a federal government customer at Ft. Meade: on the 'Abyss' team, maintaining and optimizing software and sensors, and performing installs, configuration, integration, patching, and security architecture changes, primarily on Linux. Requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph; container/Kubernetes experience is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- TS/SCI with agency appropriate poly
- No demonstrated experience is required. Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science,
- Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
- Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s
degree
- Seven (7) years experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
- Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
Required Technical Skills
- Will work on the Abyss team providing maintenance and support to the software.
- Will optimize and maintain sensor.
- Will perform installs, configuration, integration, patches, and security architecture changes.
- Linux experience is required.
Desired Technical Skills
- Knowledge of working with containerized software is preferred.
- Experience with Kubernetes is a plus.
