Summary

Contract role supporting Experian's security operations: you'll unblock project teams by resolving technical security issues, advising on best practices, and implementing risk-based solutions. Core tech spans UNIX/Windows/Linux hardening, firewalls, IDS, Imperva WAF, VPN, EDR, and frameworks like PCI-DSS, ISO27001, and NIST.

The Cyber Security Specialist plays a critical role in supporting project teams to achieve main milestones by resolving technical security issues that may impede progress. You will report to Security Operations Manager

What You'll Do

  • You will collaborate with project teams to help achieve project milestones by resolving security-related technical challenges.
  • Identify security issues that arise during project execution.
  • Develop and implement practical, risk-based solutions to unblock project activities impacted by security constraints.
  • Provide advice on security best practices and ensure understanding of organizational policies.
  • Work with partners to balance security requirements with operational and project needs.
  • Maintain knowledge of latest threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies relevant to the project environment.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in several operating system environments, including UNIX, Windows, and Linux and IP intranet/Internet security environments.
  • Demonstrated ability around information security risk analysis and periodic information system activity reviews for information security processes.
  • Solid multi-platform knowledge. Experience in UNIX, Windows, Linux, and IP intranet/Internet security environments including: firewalls, intrusion detection, incident response, policy writing, vulnerability testing, operating system hardening, regulatory compliance, and data classification.
  • Demonstrable experience architecting and implementing security solutions, policies, and technologies relating to transactional web sites.
  • Understanding of industry security best practices such as PCI-DSS, ISO27001, NIST etc.
  • Ability to monitor advancements in information security technologies which include Imperva WAF, VPN, End Point Response, Password Management System, and web proxy.
  • Ability to work with other departments, design security components for strategic processes, and supervising the development and implementation of required security reporting devices and processes at all levels.
  • Ability to liaise with Business, Business partners and Vendors during Tenders\Audits to ensure Security compliance for all IT / Business system.
