System Engineer: Failure Diagnosis & Continuous Improvement

Alpitronic, based in Bolzano, Italy, is seeking a senior engineer to advance reliability and product quality in e-mobility systems. You will perform detailed root-cause analyses, define containment and preventive actions, and drive improvements across hardware and software with cross-functional teams.

You will contribute to failure-detection algorithms, validate requirements, and analyze field feedback to prevent recurrence.

Perform root cause analysis and define containment, corrective, and preventive actions. Contribute to early failure detection algorithms, diagnostics, and monitoring software. Translate analysis into updated system and product requirements. Analyze service tickets and field feedback for potential issues. Investigate logs, connectivity, and software update failures for patterns. Diagnose hardware, power electronics, and mechanical failures on returns. Classify faults by frequency, root cause, severity, and impact. Support R&D in quality claims and 8D for design-related issues. Provide clear repair instructions to centers and verify countermeasures. Collaborate with Data Science team to leverage fleet data for improvements. Master of Science in Electronics Engineering or equivalent with power electronics knowledge. Strong background in R&D and system engineering with cross-functional experience. Experience with embedded C programming and microcontroller architectures. Proficiency in control simulations and hardware dimensioning tools. Solid problem-solving skills and root cause analysis methods (8D/Ishikawa/5 Whys). Familiarity with statistics, ERP, CAD, FEM, and standard office software.
