System Engineer in Central System Infrastructure

System Engineer (m/f) in Central System Infrastructure

(work location Zagreb)

This position offers the opportunity to develop by learning about the state-of-the-art technologies the bank uses to maintain system infrastructure, as well as working on the optimization and improvement of system production quality.

The position includes the following tasks and responsibilities:

• installing and maintaining system infrastructure based on Unix and Linux operating systems
• optimizing IT infrastructure performance, capacity monitoring, and performance monitoring
• providing system support for the development and implementation of SW products and services
• optimizing existing and researching new technological solutions
• participating in significant and challenging international projects

Formal requirements that all candidates must meet are as follows:

• completed technical degree (FER, FOI, TVZ, Algebra, or related faculties/colleges)
• active knowledge of the English language in speech and writing

It is desirable that candidates also possess the following knowledge/traits:

• previous work experience in highly complex infrastructure systems
• innovation, resourcefulness, and the ability to learn quickly
• knowledge of scripting tools - Unix shell and Python
• knowledge and experience working with one or more of the following technologies:
  • IBM AIX, Red Hat Linux, VMware
  • IBM WebSphere, IBM MQ, Apache Tomcat
  • OpenShift, Elasticsearch, Big Data technologies
